So I have been doing this over the weekend, but I haven't finished yet. We have been photographing various textures, which we are then recreating/drawing in a variety of media. This sounds easy right? That's what I thought, but I'm actually struggling, there is a lot more detail involved than I realised, I suppose we don't really appreciate something until we have to properly study it.
Here are the textures I'm recreating (my photography skills aren't amazing):
If you look closely you will notice the different tones, shades, colours and stitching, maybe try to recreate a few of these textures yourself?
I think that this exercise will help me to be more observative, and see the real detail around me.
